Protection testing and commissioning
Our highly trained engineers can carry out protection maintenance testing on existing assets to ensure your installation meets the requirements of the approved code of practice B.S 6626:1985 – Maintenance of Electrical Switchgear and Control Gear. The requirement of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 is to maintain the electrical equipment to keep it in a safe condition. Protection testing is a key part of this to ensure the systems disconnects in an emergency condition and doesn’t cause harm to anybody.
Private network services – oil sample and transformer condition reports
Old transformers, such as this one, are very inefficient. They should be regularly tested to comply with legislation. We offer an oil sampling service which can detect problems long before they become catastrophic failures with power loss. Also, you could save thousands by simply changing to the latest tier 4 units which offer much better efficiencies.
